Khmer Rouge Victims: Lead Counsel

Former GD partner, Marie Guiraud, has been the international Civil Party Lead Co- Lawyer at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) from 2014 to 2019.  In terms of shear numbers she has represented the interests of more genocide victims than any other lawyer in the world.  

Ms. Guiraud ensured the effective organization of the representation of civil parties during the trial stage and appeal. Her core responsibilities included representing the interests of the consolidated group of civil parties, overall advocacy, strategy and in-court presentation of the interests of the civil parties in close conjunction with the individual civil party lawyers.
