GD partner Alexandre Prezanti has been retained as an advisor to the EU Trust Fund for Libya and EU Delegation to Libya on behalf of the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime (Global Initiative).

Global Initiative has been engaged by the EU to monitor and analyse the human rights impact of its migration and refugee programming in Libya. The aim of the project is to provide EU policymakers with a better understanding of how to positively influence the human rights situation in Libya through its programming, and to encourage local actors to adhere to human rights standards.

In his capacity as human rights expert, Prezanti trains and mentors Global Initiative’s research network on monitoring human rights violations, and advises the EU Trust Fund for Libya and EU Delegation to Libya on how to meet its human rights obligations.
